Massage Therapy Continuing Education
State and national licensure requires massage therapy continuing education to keep your massage license current. It is important that you find classes and courses that are offered that are certified and recognized by NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork).
Recertification is required by NCBTMB to keep your qualifications current. It is mandatory to complete and submit 48 continuing education credits and documentation for every 200 hours of work experience completed during the four year certification cycle. This program is extremely flexible and offers 10 options to a certificant in order for a person to be able to complete these requirements on their own time, within their own budget and schedules.
These 10 options for Massage Continuing Education include:
- CE hours from NCBTMB Approved Provider
- Certification outside of NCBTMB
- Academic Course work
- College Degree
- State and National Presentations
- Holding National and State Presentations
- Clinical Internship
- Research
- Publications
- Self-directed Learning Projects
